The problem

Buyers ask AI tools who to hire, and the tools answer with a few names.

If you're not on that list, the buyer calls someone else, and you never know they were looking.

Asking AI once won't tell you where you stand

You'd need the questions your buyers really ask, asked several times in each AI tool, with a dated record to compare against.

AI may have your facts wrong

It repeats what it finds online, which can mean old services, a wrong address, or nothing.

You can't tell if a fix worked

Most reports list the work done. They don't show a dated before and after for each question.

See.

We ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI the questions your buyers ask.

You agree ten questions with us. We ask each tool each question three times. You count as named when at least two of the three answers name you.

Fix.

We list the fixes that affect the most questions.

We write the answer pages and correct wrong facts about you. Nothing is published until you approve it.

Prove.

We check every week and compare with your first reading.

Your first reading is dated and locked, so it can't be changed later. We count a change only when two weekly checks in a row show it.

How we measure

When we say AI is naming you, it is.

AI tools give a different answer every time, so one lucky answer can make anyone look recommended. These three rules mean every result we report is one you can act on, and check for yourself.

Rule 1

We ask every question three times.

What we do
We ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI each of your questions three times, in a fresh chat. You count as named only when at least two of the three answers name you.
Why it matters to you
Ask the same question twice and you can get two different lists. One mention could be luck. Two out of three is a pattern you can rely on.

Rule 2

A change counts after two weeks in a row.

What we do
We check every week. When you start being named, we wait for the next week's check to agree before we call it a result.
Why it matters to you
AI answers drift from week to week. You only see results that held, so you never pay for, or celebrate, a one-week blip.

Rule 3

If we can't get an answer, we say so.

What we do
Some weeks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI blocks us or changes how it works. That week is marked "Not measured", never shown as a zero.
Why it matters to you
A fake zero would make you look worse than you are, or hide a real drop. Gaps stay visible, so your record stays honest.

Then it goes in your report.

What you get

Proof the work paid off.

For each question your buyers ask, you see whether AI named you before we started and whether it names you now, with dates. No guessing, and something solid to show a partner or a board.

Who it's for

AI recommends businesses people already trust.

So layers. is for established local businesses and named experts with a reputation worth finding, whose clients are worth thousands, and who want proof, not a report.

Questions

What people ask before they start.

Can you get my business recommended by ChatGPT?

Nobody can promise what an AI tool will say, and anyone who guarantees it is guessing. We can show you exactly what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google tell your buyers today. Then we fix what’s missing or wrong, and prove what changed with dated checks.

Is AEO real, or just SEO with a new name?

Both are true. Most of what gets a business named by AI is good SEO: clear pages, accurate facts, and other sites that vouch for you. The difference is the result. SEO aims for a click; AI search gives your buyer a short list of names. layers. measures whether you’re on that list, question by question.

How do I find out what AI says about my business?

Ask it the questions your buyers ask, in a fresh chat, a few times each, and write down who it names. That’s what our free Starting Point does properly: ten of your buyers’ questions, three AI tools, each asked three times, sealed with a date.

How much does it cost?

The Starting Point is free. Proof, our 90-day done-with-you work, is $6,000, paid in three monthly payments of $2,000. Watch, the monthly check afterward, is $250 a month. Most Canadian agencies charge $1,500 to $5,000 a month with no fixed end date.

How is layers. different from an SEO or AEO agency?

Agencies sell activity. We sell proof. Every question has a dated before and after, and a change only counts once two weekly checks agree. Anything we can’t see is marked “not measured”, never shown as zero.

How long until AI starts naming us?

Some fixes show up within weeks, especially when AI has a fact wrong. Others take longer, because they depend on other sites. Proof runs 90 days, and you see every weekly check, so you never have to take our word for it.

Your free Starting Point

Find out where you stand.

A dated record of what AI tools tell your buyers today.

  1. We agree on ten questions with you, worded the way your buyers ask them.
  2. We ask each AI tool each question three times, then date and lock the answers.
  3. You get a one-page summary: where you're named, who is named instead, and what AI gets wrong about you.

Built by marketers, for their own clients. Our clients kept asking why AI recommended someone else, and nothing could show them what changed. So we built layers., and we run every reading ourselves.
